06 Oct Let the Party Begin! Live in Gratitude, Not Fear
In America, we have always been innovators, creators, and builders. No mountain is too high, nor is any task too daunting. We’ve never needed to celebrate life in America more than we do right now.
No, we’re not crazy. All across the country, people are still worrying about their health and that of their loved ones. There is no denying that COVID is real and has proven dangerous for patients with underlying conditions. We live in a world inhabited by millions of viruses and bacteria, including those in our own bodies.
When we say, “have a party” we mean celebrate the good in your lives, interact with your friends and family – dance, listen to music, discuss the meaning of life. By isolating yourself at home and enclosing yourself in a bubble when you go outside, are you doing yourself more harm than good?
The decisions we make as we go through our lives are based on the best information we have at the time. Do your own research and don’t listen to the media. Give yourself a chance to make the best decision based on the information you’ve gathered for yourself.
Here is some information to ponder:
Hydroxychloroquine (also known as Plaquenil) has been used safely for 65 years to treat malaria and autoimmune forms of arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. https://www.rheumatology.org/I-Am-A/Patient-Caregiver/Treatments/Hydroxychloroquine-Plaquenil

A nonrandomized study completed in March, 2020, showed “Despite its small sample size, our survey shows that hydroxychloroquine treatment is significantly associated with viral load reduction/disappearance in COVID-19 patients and its effect is reinforced by azithromycin.” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32205204/
As of July 2, 2020: “Treatment with hydroxychloroquine cut the death rate significantly in sick patients hospitalized with COVID-19 – and without heart-related side-effects, according to a new study published by Henry Ford Health System.” https://www.henryford.com/news/2020/07/hydro-treatment-study
We are all connected in life and in death. Solid faith in God and our capacity for love are the bonds between us all. Living and dying are constant from the moment we are born.
Throughout history, philosophers and deep thinkers, like English poet John Donne (1572-1631) knew this:
“No man is an island, entire of himself; every man is a piece of the continent.”
“Any man’s death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind; And therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”
Both Jesus and Buddha told their followers, “Don’t fret.” Let’s not live in fear. Fear paralyzes us and may cause us to follow others even when our gut tells us otherwise. Most times, when your “gut” strongly tells you something, it is the Lord speaking directly to you.
We choose our actions and live with the consequences. That is freedom. If I choose not to wear a mask, I will live with the consequences. If we choose to enjoy our friends and family without restriction, we live with the consequences. We’d like you to create something, build something and counteract the negative in the world.
A cousin in Georgia said, “It’s extremely difficult to be socially distant and be Southern. Can I get an Amen?”
We’re not perfect and do not expect perfection in our government leaders. All we ask is that common sense prevails and, when given a choice, they choose the ethical and decent path, within the bounds of the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law.
That’s what we do; how about you?
